How we work

From cohort to proof of readiness.

We start from the role an employer needs filled and work back to the person. Five steps, tracked on Horizon, signed off by practitioners.

The five stages

Five steps from cohort to proof of readiness

Stage 01: Map

MPQ Audit and cohort gap map

Who: WBL consultants, employer partners, institution

We agree target roles with employers, then run our MPQ Audit, our in house diagnostic, to assess each person against them, including readiness to work with AI agents.

Output: MPQ Audit results and a capability gap map for the cohort and each person.
Stage 02: Plan

A plan for every person

Who: WBL consultants

Each person gets a sequenced plan to a named role. Every plan includes AI Agent Readiness at the level the role needs.

Output: Personal capability plan.
Stage 03: Learn

The right courses, from anywhere

Who: WBL consultants and the learner

We identify the courses that close each gap, from Coursera, LinkedIn Learning, Google, Khan Academy or our own.

Output: Learning linked into the plan on Horizon.
Stage 04: Track and validate

Progress tracked, readiness signed off

Who: Practitioner mentor and learner

Horizon tracks progress. A practitioner mentor reviews applied work, including tasks done with AI agents, and signs off when the person is ready.

Output: Mentor sign off record.
Stage 05: Report

Readiness report

Who: WBL and the institution

The institution receives cohort and individual readiness results.

Output: Readiness report on graduate and workforce outcomes.

Why practitioners

Anyone can complete a course. Only someone who does the job can say a person is ready for it. Our mentors are practitioners in the roles our graduates are aiming for.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

Does this replace our degree programmes?

No. We run alongside the degree, usually across a semester, and fit your academic calendar.

Which graduates do you work with?

Science and commerce graduates, including physics, chemistry, mathematics, statistics, finance and economics, preparing for roles in financial services.

Where does the learning come from?

From the best source for each gap: Coursera, LinkedIn Learning, Google, Khan Academy or our own courses. We do not lock you into a catalogue.

Who are the mentors?

Practitioners currently working in risk, compliance, analytics, operations and finance roles, matched to each person's target role.

What does the institution receive?

A capability gap map for every cohort, employer backed role profiles, progress tracking on Horizon, mentor sign off and a readiness report.

What is the MPQ Audit?

Our in house diagnostic. It maps each person against the capabilities their target role needs, including how ready they are to work with AI agents. It is run for a cohort or a team, and the results become each person's plan.

Do you prepare people to work with AI?

Yes. Every plan includes AI Agent Readiness: working with AI agents, directing them, and building them for tasks in the person's own field. Mentors check this in applied work before signing off.

How do we start?

With an MPQ Audit for one faculty or one team, then a pilot cohort reported against outcomes agreed with you.
